By Kaye Bailey You wont believe what happened to me today! I was getting ready for work and saw myself naked in the full-length mirror and I didnt hate what I saw! I actually gave myself an unrehearsed slightly passive self-compliment You dont look bad today. The reason this is monumental is because most of the time when I look in the mirror I do not like what I see and I give myself harsh criticism. I suppose after years of self-loathing that it is more comfortable to degrade my appearance than to appreciate it. Many patients report hyper-judging their bodies after weight loss; it seems the thinner we get the more judgmental we are of our bodies. These days Im critical of thighs that seem a bit jiggly and some very unattractive cottage cheese dimples on my rear end. Loathing these body parts keeps me from appreciating a thin waist, toned arms or those curious collarbones that were in hiding for so many years. Body dysmorphic disorder is a mental image many victims of anorexia nervosa have that tells them they look fat, even when they are emaciated. Morbidly obese people and bariatric patients can suffer from body dysmorphia as well. One reader, ThereseD, posted this message regarding body perception: Body Dysmorphia is REAL! Over five years after my open RNY gastric bypass and I got hit with it again just last night, when I was cleaning out my closet. My daughter commented that my new shirt, which I was so proudly placing at the front, was too big and needs to go in the “go” pile. I checked the label and sure enough, it said “Large”. Following my revision surgery of April 18, 2005, I still have my bandages and I’m probably wearing a size 4 Petite . . . and still I put on a smart and stylish new top in a size that’s just too big for me! Oops! When we were morbidly obese our emotional coping mechanisms kicked in and many of us were able to convince ourselves we really werent that big. It is emotionally kinder to avoid body criticism. The whole issue of obesity seems hopeless. In fact, many morbidly obese patients will say they see themselves normal sized. That is until rude moments remind them they are not normal sized: a skinny chair, a turnstile, a bathroom stall, a flight of stairs, a photograph. This false perception is a subconscious coping strategy to protect us from the brutal truth, the truth about how big morbidly obese really is. After surgery, there is a tendency for the body dysmorphia to reverse. Before surgery we denied how big we were, after surgery we judge ourselves critically like the anorexic and fail to see an honest reflection. One woman, down from size 24 to size 10 wrote, I feel fat daily. I never felt this at 248 pounds I saw a thinner person in the mirror than I see now. I look at my size 10 jeans and they look like tents. I dont feel as attractive as I did when I was heavy. I dont understand it, she continued, but I think it has to do with learning to accept yourself fat so you didnt see all the fat. Now I just have to learn to accept myself as thinner. It has been suggested that dressing in stylish clothes that fit is one way to beat the body blues. Another idea, as Therese suggested, is having a bystander who will be honest about our appearance. Therese wrote, My daughter’s the number one person I go to, when I need to cure the myopic view of myself that I’ve developed. I wish I knew what magic happened this morning that I accepted and appreciated my own body. If I could package that magic I would personally mail it to every reader of LivingAfterWLS.com we ALL deserve to love and appreciate ourselves. Its time for the self-loathing to end and the self-appreciation to begin. By Dave Gieber What is anime? For all intents and purposes, this is a style ofcartoon animation that has its beginnings in Japan. Thisparticular genre has a distinctive character and aestheticsbackground that visually sets itself apart from other forms ofanimation. While some anime is entirely hand-drawn, computer assistedanimation techniques appear to be quite common. Story lines aretypically fictional. Examples can be found in most major genresof fiction. Story lines can be found on television, distributedon media such as DVDs, or included in console and computergames. Anime has been influenced by Japanese comics known asmanga. The English word “anime” is a transliteration of the abbreviatedversion of this Japanese term. It appears there are two acceptedways of pronouncing this word. It can be pronounced as “ANN ihmay” or many may also verbalize it as “AH nee may”. The history of anime got its start at the beginning of the 20thcentury. Japanese filmmakers started experimenting with theanimation techniques that were being explored in the West. During the 1970s, further development was seen as the genre wasseparating itself from its Western roots. Unique genres such asmecha were coming into being. In the 1980s, anime became widelyaccepted in the mainstream in Japan and therefore, experienced aboom in production. The 1990s and 2000s saw an increasedacceptance of this form of expression in overseas markets. At one time, the genre was also known as Japanimation, but thisterm has fallen into disuse. More usage of this term was seenduring the 1970s and 1980s. This was the time period, which sawthe first and second waves of anime fandom. In more recent years, anime has been referred to in Europe asmanga. This practice may have stemmed from the Japanese usage:In Japan, manga can refer to both animation and comics (althoughthe use of manga to refer to animation is mostly restricted tonon-fans). Among English speakers, manga usually has thestricter meaning of “Japanese comics”. Dave Gieber is the owner and editor of a website built aroundone of his childhood passions. By Margaret Paul, Ph.D. Ruth consulted with me because she was confused about what to do regarding her mother, her brother, and her son. From the time Ruth was born, she never felt like she belonged in her family. Her mother ignored Ruth, obviously preferring her brother, and consistently allowed her brother to beat Ruth up. Ruth had some connection with her father, but he was a weak man and never stood up for her or protected her. Ruth was a loving child and tried in any way she could to please her mother and brother, to no avail. She could never understand why her family didnt like her. As an adult, she married an emotionally unavailable man, a man very much like her mother. As with her mother and brother, she tried in many ways to get his love and never succeeded. Her son, Dylan, was eight years old when they divorced. Dylan always seemed to prefer his father, and finally went to live with his father when he was sixteen. Once again, Ruth was completely in the dark regarding why her son didnt like her. She had been such a devoted mother, so why was he rejecting her? Ruth finally married again, this time to a loving man, and had another child. Her current family was totally different from her previous family and from her family of origin. However, she still hoped to have a relationship with her mother. She would send her mother birthday and Christmas cards, but rarely heard from her. The final blow that sent her to seek my help came when she found out that her son had gotten married without telling her, and that her brother had moved her mother into a nursing home and sold everything without telling her. Ruth was a shining light of love. Her eyes, her smile, her gestures all radiated love and compassion. Her deeply gentle and peaceful nature was evident at first glance. Why? Why dont they like me? she asked. Because you are a giver and they are takers, I told her. Givers care about others, while takers just want to take from others. You can never give enough to a taker to receive any caring back, because they dont like themselves. They reject themselves and try to get others to give to them. Because they have emotionally abandoned themselves, they are angry at others for not giving enough to them. Your mother and brother were united in their taking from you, as were your first husband and son. They look at you and see a fountain of love coming from you and they want it, but they are incapable of receiving it. Your light contrasts with their darkness and they hate you for it. But what can I do? Nothing, other than not be around them. They will suck the life out of you if you allow them to spend time with you. I know you care about them, but they are incapable of caring about themselves or you, so you have to let them go. It is not in your highest good to be with people who are incapable of valuing you who just want to take from you. But cant I help them? No, because they are not asking for help. I know you have believed that if you just love them enough, they will heal and love you back, but this will never happen because they are not open to your love. They feel inadequate in the face of your open heart and their closed hearts, and they take their self-judgment out on you. There is nothing you can to do to help them open their hearts. Only they can do that. It is unlikely your mother or brother will ever open their hearts, but perhaps your son will in time. He will come to you if he does. But I have such a great life now. Isnt it selfish of me to just let them go? No, it is self-responsible. It is not loving to yourself to be around people who treat you badly. Ruth understood. She felt sad, but relieved. She finally saw that all she could do was pray for them to open their hearts. The handset weighs just 120 grams this might sound a bit heavy compared to mobile phones weighing under 100 grams, but one has to take into consideration the unmatched feature list the Nokia N95 includes within itself. Probably the most compelling feature of the Nokia N95 is is built in digital camera. The primary integrated camera module of the Nokia N95 is a massive 5.0 megapixel a feat previously unachieved by other camera phones. The camera is easy to use, its holding position while shooting is just like that of a digital camera and it is equipped with everything modern day mobile imaging has to offer. By Alexander Gordon Electronics industry is a very huge industry, and engineers, who are very hard to be convinced, take most of the purchasing decisions. Therefore, if you are planning to market your products to electronics industry, you have to be more cautious in your marketing efforts. Engineers are interested in quality and attributes of the product. Moreover, the things that make differentiation are pricing and branding. These guys do not look at the subjective qualities like delightful, elegant, experiential etc; rather they are more interested in knowing the actual and useful qualities of the product. That is why marketing element has to have more product specifications. How Can You Market Products to Engineers? A recent survey says engineers have two types of information needs: Heads - Up Information: This kind of information is related to latest technology, the competitive environment, and what is going on in the industry and related industries. For such kind of information, engineers rely on print media and e-mail newsletter. Heads - Down Information: This kind of information provides guidelines to the engineers for fixing work related problems. It also includes information about features of products. For such information, engineers prefer using web sites. Keeping theses differences in mind, you can plan and implement your message and media strategies. Print media provides detailed analysis of things and through this feature; you can force engineers to take action. Online marketing helps you provide detailed information to the clientele, whenever the demand for it. Engineers spend most of their time in researching and fir this, they use the World Wide Web. Therefore, you can use web tools like micro sites, search engine optimization, paid search and dedicated portals to reach these techno savvy guys in an effective manner. You can also use the concept of Virtual Lab to reach the consumers worldwide. In this system, an engineer can test the product live over the Internet. It not only saves time of both parties but also enhances the client satisfaction. Electronic brochure and product sheets can also be helpful for those who want to know more about your products. Sponsoring e-newsletter and search ads on special websites is another way of reaching the prospects. Whether you use traditional methods of marketing or go for contemporary ones, you always need to read the mind of the client with whom you are dealing. You have to work according to his requirements. Engineers are always technical-minded and that is why it is difficult to win their trust. Therefore, you have to be very specific and calculative in your efforts. If you are not finding yourself able to customize the marketing programs according to these technical minds, you can seek help of marketing advisors or special websites. By Randall E. Rhodes Exercises to lose stomach fat are something most of us have to deal with on a daily basis. For whatever reason, either the foods we eat increase our stomach circumference or go directly to our thighs. Either way, it is very frustrating. Listed below are 3 tips to lose the paunch once and for all. Lets face it; not everyone is built the same way. Two people can eat a humongous meal and only one suffers from the stomach fat than ensues. To suggest that one diet plan, which promises incredible results, will solve the ills of obesity; is a ludicrous one. To lose weight takes dedication; commitment; and a willingness to do whatever it takes. In an effort to exercise to lose stomach fat, it has to be mentioned that one should only lose one to two pounds per week to ensure the weight stays off. Moreover, not eating a properly balanced three meals a day; fasting; or embarking on liquid diet plans can do more harm than good. Tip #1: Exercises to lose stomach fat are the key. If you have been a couch potato, its time to get up and start walking. Try and walk 20 minutes every other day in one week; and increase the number of minutes every week. Eventually, you will be able to work up to a mile or more. Take a mp3 player and let the music move you! Join a gym and exercise your way to good health. Use the exercise treadmill fat burn to reduce the paunch. Tip #2: Locate a nutritionist who can determine the proper diet plan for you, that is, how many calories a day is sufficient to reduce fat and maintain muscle. Consult with the nutritionist at your gym. In the mean time, eat in smaller portions. Use smaller plates so that the less you put on the plate, the less you eat. Put down your fork after every bite. Studies suggest the slower you eat, the better chance of your feeling full after the meal. Add lots of fruits and vegetables to your diet regimen. Limit the late night snacks; if you are hungry cereal always hits the spot. Tip #3: When you have those moments when you are stressed or depressed, you tend to eat more, right? Yoga and other forms of mediation can be used to find a balance within which will allow you to nurture your body and lose weight in a more positive and effective way. Qi Gong is a meditative and effective exercise routine which can help you shed the stomach fat. Exercises to lose stomach fat can help you to lose the paunch. But it will take time. Nothing comes easy: especially losing fat. Moreover, there are no weight loss miracles; you have to find the strength, time, and willingness to stick to a plan for at least six months to a year. The last thing you want is to regain the stomach fat you so tirelessly tried to lose. Further, you will feel healthier in mind, body and spirit. Who else wants to melt fat away and look better with more energy? Learn a revolutionary way to lose 9 Lbs every 11 days without starving - in fact, you eat more! If you found these exercises to lose stomach fat tips helpful, you deserve to be slimmer in 11 days! By Mike Bradley For what it is worth, Id thought Id pass this on to the rest of you. I wrote this article a few years ago. On TBN, they had a middle-aged couple on one of their talk shows that were really anointed. They had their own church and ministry - I cant recall where it was at. But part of their testimony was on the death of their young daughter. Here they were - serving God full time with their church and ministry and their daughter dies at a fairly young age. I came in on the story right as they were talking about it. I didnt catch the age of the daughter or what the cause of her death was. The wife was really wrestling with God. How could You take her, how could You allow this to happen, why didnt You heal her, why didnt You protect her, etc. Both the wife and husband were having a hard time “getting over” this death with God. They couldnt understand or get a direct answer from God as to why He allowed their daughter to be brought home at such a young age and rob the both of them the joy of seeing their daughter grow up. Then the wife said that she received a direct word from the Holy Spirit that immediately set her free from her “mental captivity.” And boy did I get a whopper witness off of this Word! Ill give you what the Word was and an additional revelation that God gave the both of them on the death of their daughter. For those of you who have lost loved ones in your past - grab a hold of this direct Word from God. This Word from God has been used by this couple to set a lot of other people free from the depression and anger that others have slipped into as a result of not being able to deal with the death of a close loved one. The wife said she was in the kitchen when she heard the Holy Spirit speak directly to her. The words were: “Your daughter is no longer in the past - she is now in the future.” Think about those words! The wife said as soon as she heard the words - she immediately knew what God was trying to tell her and it immediately set both her and her husband free of the mental torment they were still going through with the death of their daughter. God was telling them that their daughter was no longer in the past. She had died and she was now in heaven with God! God was telling them that they had to move on with their lives, to let the past go, including the death of their daughter and to continue to press onward into the call that God had placed on both of their lives. Their daughter is now in their future! When they both die, they will both cross over into heaven and be immediately reunited with their daughter. God was telling them to change the “angle” with which they were looking at their daughters death. Instead of seeing her as being “dead in the past” - start seeing her as being “alive in heaven” - and understand that you will be reunited with her in a very short period of time. Our time on earth is not even a blink of an eye compared to the eternal time frame that operates in heaven. 1. You have to step back and look at the “big picture.” We are all going to die and cross over - no exceptions! Some just go sooner than others. When you die is irrelevant. What you do with the time that you have down here is what really matters. When you really grasp the meaning of the words that the Holy Spirit spoke to her - you understand that they should be rejoicing. Their daughter is now in the most perfect place imaginable and they are both guaranteed to be reunited with her once they die and cross over. They should keep the picture of their daughter in front of them - in their own personal futures - which will also be heaven for the both of them when they die and cross over. God was also telling them that if they did not quit thinking about and wallowing in their past - that they would eventually “die” in their past - that they would no longer be able to move forward for God because they would end up staying “stuck” in their past. Too many people are “bound up” with things that have happened in their past. They cant “let go” of what has happened in their past. As a result, it slowly eats away at them until they get to a point where they no longer have any joy for living. They then start slipping into depressions and lose all of their will to even want to live anymore. 2. Shortly after receiving this revelation from God and being set free, they came across a woman who had lost her son. Her son had died about a year ago and the woman had slipped into a severe depression. She had literally boarded up her house, closed all the drapes and curtains and would no longer even go outside. She had completely shut down due to the pain and agony she was going through at losing her son at what apparently was also a fairly young age. This couple gave their testimony on the above revelation to a church that this woman had been going to. The testimony was taped and one of the church members slipped the tape to this woman who had boarded herself up in her house. The woman took the tape in to her bedroom. She listened to it over and over again all night along - literally until the sun broke at dawn. When the sun broke at dawn, she later testified that she knew God was speaking to her through this couples testimony on this tape. She said the message and revelation from this couple that was on this tape set her free from the “mental captivity” that she had placed herself under as a result of not being able to see the “truth” of her sons death. The Bible says that the “truth will set you free” and this is a perfect example of that principle in operation! Once she heard the revelation given by the Holy Spirit - she knew she had been looking at her sons death from the “wrong angle.” Her son is now in heaven and she should be looking “forward” to being reunited with him in heaven once she crosses over - not dwelling on his death, which was now in her past. Once she grasped what God was telling her - and it apparently took all night for the revelation to really sink into her mind - she was finally set free and was able to fully start living again. This couple said that those specific words spoken by the Holy Spirit has helped a lot of other people deal with the death of loved ones. Scripture Verses 1. Here are 3 good verses from Scripture that back up the words spoken by the Holy Spirit to this couple: “No one having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:62) “But one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead. I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13-14) Look at the words in that second verse - “forgetting those things which are behind” and “reaching forward for those things which are ahead.” That verse perfectly lines up with what the Holy Spirit was trying to tell this couple - to let the death of their daughter go, which was now in their past, and to look forward, to press forward for the things which are ahead for them in their futures. And one of the things ahead for this couple in their futures will be their own physical deaths, their own crossing over into heaven and being reunited with their daughter where they will never ever be separated from her again!! 2. This next verse talks about “plowing forward in hope.” “… he who plows should plow in hope, and he who threshes in hope should be a partaker of his hope.” (1 Corinthians 9:10) This verse is telling us that each one of us should continue to “plow for God” with whatever time we have left here on this earth - with the understanding that we will eventually be reunited with all of our loved ones who have gone before us. Not only should we continue to plow with this hope in mind, but also to be a “partaker” of this hope. In other words - really grab onto and really believe that when you die, you will be reunited with your loved ones and this time it will be for good - for eternity! Heaven is going to be the final and ultimate reward for all Christians. The Bible tells us that we cannot even begin to imagine all the good things that God will have in store for all of those who will be entering into His dwelling place. But one thing we do know for sure - we will all be given the two greatest rewards any human can ever hope to receive once we cross over onto the other side. We will forever be united with God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. We will be able to see them “face to face” and we will be able to have direct contact and fellowship with the both of Them for eternity. And to top it all off - we will forever be reunited with all of our loved ones who have made it into heaven and we will once more be able to enjoy the friendships that we had established with each one of them while down here on earth. Now thats an incredible one-two punch that cant be beat. And to top it all off, there will be mansions and who knows what else from God the Father. For all those who have lost very close loved ones, you have to step back and see the “real” big picture - the “real ending” to the story. So many people have “lost” the rest of their earthly lives because they could never “get over” the death of a loved one. And the reason they could not get over their deaths is due to the fact that they are looking at their deaths from the “wrong angle.” The Holy Spirit gave this couple what I feel is a very powerful and liberating word on this subject. He gave them a word that was pure God-truth. And once you receive a truth from God the Father - it will set you free if you are willing to accept it and work with it. The other thing that happened with this couple is that before they received this direct Word from God, they found themselves taking their daughters picture out of a lot of their family portraits because it was too painful for them to see her and be reminded of her death. After receiving the above Word from God, God then told them to put her pictures back in with the rest of the family pictures. He told them that she was not “dead” - that she was fully alive in heaven - and that they should be rejoicing because their time would come when they would all be reunited with her. They were told not to try and put her out of their memory. They were to keep all of her photos and all of their memories intact of her. They were all to “look forward to the future” when they would all be reunited again with her in heaven. When this couple received all of the above from God the Father through the Holy Spirit, they were all set free from the “mental captivity” that they had placed themselves under and were able to pick themselves back up and get back into the real game of life. The other revelation that the wife received from God the Father was on the question of why - why did God allow her daughter to be taken home so early. God basically told her there will be times when He will not tell you why He allows something specific to happen in your life - like the early death of a loved one. Sometimes it may be better that you not know why God brings someone home so early. Maybe that person was going to have something really bad happen to them somewhere down the road and God wanted to spare them the pain of having to go through it - so He arranges to have them brought home early. There could be a million different reasons as to why God may have brought that person home early, and maybe with half of those reasons you are better off not knowing. She finally came to the conclusion that if it was Gods will that she not know why He brought her daughter home so early - that she would simply have to trust God that He did have a good enough reason to bring her home early and to let it go at that! The Bible says that we can “only know in part.” We will never get all the answers to all of lifes problems. God will answer a lot of questions that you may present to Him. The Bible says, “Ask and you will receive.” But when God does not want to tell you why or answer a certain question with a definite answer - then you have to accept the fact that He has a good enough reason not to give you the answer and just trust that He knows what He is doing - that He knows what is best for the situation at hand - and to move on with your life. If you dont, you run the risk of getting “stuck” in your misery or in your past and you thus may “lose” the chance to accomplish anything worthwhile with whatever allotted time you still have left down here on earth. Conclusion For those of you have had a difficult time either now or in your past on accepting the death of a loved one, really chew on the above Word given to this couple by the Holy Spirit. For those of you who may know someone who is really having a hard time handling the death of a close loved one like a child, a spouse, a parent or a best friend, give them a copy of this article and/or sit down with them and give them the above Word from the Spirit of God. Share the above testimony with them on this couple and the other woman who had lost her son. Pray that God will move on them with illumination and insight to fully grasp and understand that even though the death of a loved one is a very painful experience - that their loved ones death is a new beginning for the one who has died. They are now in the most perfect place imaginable and you will be reunited with them in just a very short period of time. This life on earth is for just a moment - but the life to come where they are now at will be forever. Remember what the Holy Spirit Himself has spoken - your loved one is no longer “dead in your past” - your loved one is now “fully alive in your future” - which is heaven. By William Lockhart Pizza is one of the most popular foods in America today with 93% of Americans eating at least 1 pizza a month. What’s the secret behind this Italian specialty and why are Americans so in love with it? According to the experts, a perfect pizza begins with the perfect crust. The best pizza is only as good as its crust and a large number of Americans agree with this. In a recent poll, over 1/3 of Americans believe that the crust is the most important part of the pizza. Whether the pizza is thick or thin, cheese-stuffed or hand-tossed, deep-dish or gourmet, a good crust is the key. A well-made pizza crust has the perfect combination of flavor and texture. It should never be bland or difficult to chew. Most pizza crusts contain only basic ingredients: water, flour, yeast, shortening, salt and sugar. What magic makes this simple combination so mouthwatering? Starting with the right kind of flour (usually an all-purpose unbleached flour) will help ensure the perfect pizza crust. Yeast that is still active is critical to making the dough rise. Water is the simplest and yet most important ingredient, because it blends the others together into perfect union. The best pizza dough is smooth and elastic but never too sticky, resulting in an irresistible crust. Some people believe that refrigerating pizza dough gives it a more desirable flavor. Sometimes corn meal is added, especially to deep-dish pizza crust, giving it a yellowish hue. Adding whole wheat or rye flour contributes both flavor and nutrition to the pizza crust. Whole-wheat pizza crusts are becoming more common among health-conscious Americans. Many people swear by a thin crust, but 40% prefer it crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. The secret to a deliciously thin crust is fresh ingredients; dough rolled no more than 1/4 inch thick and no chance to rise before baking. Traditional New York style pizza (thin crust) is currently the most popular and has a crust so pliable it can fold without splitting. Thin crusts are mixed until smooth and are often hand-tossed. On the other hand, some people prefer thick chewy crusts and this can be achieved with either fresh or chilled dough by simply letting it rise. Deep-dish pizza or Chicago-style pizza is another popular kind and is made with under-mixed dough that has a cake-like texture. The crust turns out biscuit-like because it is pre-baked before the toppings are added. Cracker-crust pizza is gaining acceptance and is made by under-mixing the dough, allowing it to ferment for a few hours, then sheeting it. Pan-style pizza utilizes thick dough and is cooked in oil, resulting in a light crunchy crust. Cheese-stuffed pizza crusts have unbeatable flavor and texture, while California style (gourmet pizza) relies on a typical thin crust and a variety of specialty toppings. So what pizza crusts do people like best? The verdict is in and statistics show that thin crusts are by far the most popular. Approximately 61% of Americans prefer a thin crust pizza. Coming in second and tied at 14% are deep-dish crusts and thick crusts. Cheese-stuffed crusts are preferred by 4% of Americans and especially pleasing to children. Whatever the style, the crust is undeniably a major factor in good pizza. Good pizza crusts are essential to tasty pizza and have come a long way from the days when the crust was peeled off and discarded. William Lockhart is Founder of HomePizzaChef.com. By Gerard Bulger Just picture this, your walking down the beach front, its a warm sunny day, a light breeze in from the sea is gently blowing through your hair gives it more waves than the ocean. People look at you, men admire your hair and the women are jealous, some ask how come your hair is so soft and shiny. At the same time they notice how baby soft your skin looks, you look at them with a knowing smile and tell them your secret, ‘I use Urine Therapy’ you say. Hold on, stop the boat, get the nose clip out, ‘you use urine therapy’ they say, ‘yes, it’s amazing’ with that you gently glide into the sunset with your hair bouncing for joy. Ok, its seems a little like a hair spray commercial, that is all except the urine therapy part, but its true, your OWN urine is one of natures gifts. First of all lets dispense with a few myths about natures finest. Urine smells !! Well actually urine does smell, about 20 minutes after leaving the body a certain amount of oxidation takes place and a ammonia like smell occurs, but its harmless and good ventilation or aroma oil keeps the smell down. Urine is poisonous !! Well actually its not, 95% of urine is water, 2.5% consists of urea and the remaining 2.5% is a mixture of minerals, salt, hormones and enzymes. Toxic substances are being removed from the body through the liver, intestines, skin and through the out-breath. Medical researchers have discovered that many of the elements of the blood that are found in urine have enormous medicinal value, and when reintroduced to the body, they boost the body’s immune defenses and stimulate healing in a way that nothing else does. I’m not going to try and convince you about the purity of urine, if you do a search on the net with ‘urine therapy’ there are many pages describing to process through the body that creates good wholesome urine. In fact its only in the last 50 years that urine has gone out of fashion, it has been highly praised through out history as a natural substance that has many healing properties. One of the biggest users of urine has been the cosmetic industry, traditionally produced by horses, it is used as a skin moisturizer. It is only since the rise of the pharmaceutical industry that the use of urine as a general medicine has ceased, well in the West, it is still highly prized in the Far East. Nothing to do with the fact that pharmaceutical companies can’t make a profit from it no doubt. I’ve had personal experience with its amazing properties. As a child I had eczema, my skin was always cracked and dry, as I grow older and changed my diet I grow out of it, except for a bad patch on my right elbow. No cream or ointment could cure this patch, it would often bleed, especially when I was asleep. The I saw a children’s TV series, on a particular episode was a Dutchman called Coen Van Der Kroon who had wrote a book called ‘Golden Fountain : The Complete Guide to Urine Therapy’, I was so intrigued I tried the treatment. I put urine on my elbow 3/4 times a day, always washing my hands afterwards of course. After about two weeks, the eczema had disappeared and my skin completely re-generated and I’ve not had any problems since. Every so often I also use it on my skin, although 49 years old, I’ve skin like a young child. Now this article isn’t going to tell you how to use it, as I’ve stated there are many good sites that will explain all, it simply says ‘give it a go, you might surprise yourself’ Gerard Bulger is an IT Consultant who has been studying the work at home Internet business market for several years, he also writes on self-help and the esoteric sciences.
